Whether you’re a full-timer or just a weekend warrior, Sagan Life® has introduced a new product especially for you. Read on and find out why you’ll love the new RV Water Filter Kit.

It’s estimated that over 1,000,000, yes, that’s one million people live in their RV’s full time and over 9 million people own RV’s and use them frequently throughout the year. WOW! That’s a lot! According to “Field and Stream”, on the average, 40-50 days a year are spent in our RV’s to pursue activities such as canoeing, hiking, hunting, photography, fishing, or just relaxing with a good book.

What is the RV Lifestyle?

RV Water PurificationMore and more people are selling their homes, packing up the kids and pets and hitting the open road. What a great sense of freedom this provides and the kids will gain experiences that would never be imagined in the classroom. Covid has contributed much to this motivation, and we see it as a wonderful opportunity to personally know and live in our grand and glorious United States, one state at a time.

A family of 10, formerly from Indianapolis, was featured in the Sunday “Parade Magazine”, as a full time RV family. Mom is able to homeschool the kids, while Dad provides the family income through his marketing websites. They ‘’chase the good weather”, the Dad says “and have established a routine, where each child has their own responsibilities, so it’s ‘organized’ chaos”. What great stories those kids will tell their kids about growing up.

As you travel around the country and camp in various RV parks with full hook-ups or pull into locations with no hook-ups at all, clean water is always a concern. Even when you’re not traveling and you’re using your water system at home, there’s no guarantee the water is contaminate free. That’s why it is so critical to have your RV protected with a bullet-proof water purification system, such as the RV Water Filter Kit. This stellar system will purify ANY freshwater source on demand.

It’s a crazy world we live in these days. A recent news story reported: “Cybersecurity experts have long warned that insecure remote work software is a major source of weakness for hacking. The issue was brought into stark reality on February 5th, when hackers gained access to a Florida water treatment facility by using a dormant remote access software and then tried to poison the water supply. The hack was quickly caught by a human operator at the facility so no harm was done, but the incident highlights a potential economy-wide problem as the Covid-19 pandemic has pushed millions of workers to work from home.” We’ll never know what motivates people to do such things, but our motto these days is “Better safe, than sorry”.

Another issue most communities face is aging infrastructure – it’s common throughout the entire country. Many old lead plumbing pipes are still in use.

Sagan Life® is a San Diego, California based company. Just a couple of years ago, San Diego county was “up in arms” when it discovered many of our public schools had lead pipes leading to the drinking fountains our children were using. This was not a single incident. The pipes were discovered in several schools. Of course, rapid replacement took place, but this is just another example of how insidious and inconspicuous lead contamination can be. Those pipes and those drinking fountains had been used and in place for years before they were replaced.

What happened in Flint, Michigan is a prime example of city leaders trying to save a few “bucks”. That scandal looks like it is going to end up in criminal court with prosecution and perhaps incarceration for the guilty. The Flint drinking water debacle is linked to at least 12 deaths and at least 80 people sickened with Legionnaires’ Disease after untreated water from the Flint River caused lead to leach from old pipes.

These are just a couple of examples of how vulnerable our water treatment facilities are and why you need to be mindful of your surroundings. Take extra precautions to safeguard your family; whether at home or on the road.

Camp sites, no matter if you’re in a posh RV resort or the middle of nowhere are totally suspect. Do you know where and how the water supply comes from? Not usually.

It could be down river from a cattle ranch and a definite suspect for E.coli. Maybe some factory runoff pollutes the water source with chemical waste. Or on the dark side, is some unstable person trying to poison the water? Unlikely, but we just don’t know what contamination exists in any given water source. Why take a chance?

What is the Best Water Filter System for an RV?

Sagan Life’s® RV Water Filter Kit will give you peace of mind and is easy to install in your “Class A” RV, camper Van or Travel Trailer. It’s meant for any type of camping/recreational vehicle with a self-contained water supply. That covers lots and lots of vehicles of varying descriptions.

RV Water Filter KitSagan Life® is committed to providing safe, clean drinking water. It’s what we do. It’s our business and we take our business seriously. It is our goal to provide the best under-sink water filtration system on the market today. We’ve done well! But, we’re always striving to create new and innovative products and we’ve hit it out of the ballpark for RVer’s with the RV Water Filter Kit.

As campers, we each have different reasons for packing the vehicle and hitting the road. We’re a diverse group but basically, we all have one common goal. Relaxing and enjoying the great outdoors and all the beauty that our country has to offer. “From sea to shining sea” and we’re out to see it all.

Full-timers, of course, have the luxury to relocate whenever the mood strikes. The opportunities are endless. Beach in the summer and if you’re skiers, mountains in the winter. On the other hand, “Snowbirds” may prefer the beach in the winter and the mountains in the summer to escape the cold, snowy weather. That’s the beauty of RVing. Go where you want, when you want. Chase the weather you love.

Weekend camping is definitely a great way to de-stress from your work routine and get away from the daily grind. Can’t think of anything more relaxing than grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting around a crackling campfire. Somehow bacon and eggs cooked over that same campfire never taste as good at home. Right?

But while we’re enjoying the outdoors and that “cuppa Joe”, we never give much thought to where the coffee water may have come from. If you’ve installed a Sagan Life® RV Water Filter Kit, you won’t need to worry a bit. The compact 10” water filter removes 99.9999% bacteria, 99.99% virus and 99.99% protozoan as well as many water borne toxins, such as lead, fluoride, arsenic, chromium, mercury, zinc, perchlorate, cadmium and barium from your water source. The filter is small but does a mighty big job!

How Long Do Under Sink Water Filters Last?

The RV Water Filter Kit has been tested and certified using the “End of Life” method. Simply put, all Sagan Life® water purification products have been independently tested until they cease to work. Which is why we know the UltraFlo™ Filter used in the RV Water Filter Kit purifies up to 2000 gallons of water, and we know exactly what nasty contamination it will remove. Many RV Filter options are not effective at removing contaminants and are often designed only to improve the taste of drinking water. Replacement water filters for the RV Kit are available, as well.
