Our Stringent Testing

We have gone through significant efforts and expense to have our water filters evaluated and certified by independent water laboratories. The EPA does not enforce the water quality standards established for Microbiological Water Purifiers, such as personal water storage container type systems and small water filter devices. What is “End of Life” Testing?

These are all the contaminants Sagan Life® states our filters will remove. After running the turbid water through the filter, the scientists carefully examine the results. If the filtered water is 100% clean and pure, we’ve passed that round of testing! The process is then repeated, each time adding a new mass of all the same contaminants. This process is replicated again and again until the water filter fails to remove the contaminants and thus fails to meet the EPA Water Quality Standards – hence “End of Life.” This is how we realize exactly how many gallons our filters purify. Our published results are on the conservative side. We recognize in real life, you will most likely never encounter such heavily polluted water as we use for test purposes.

Nano Fiber Technology
