Are you Water Smart?

Unless you have a well in your back yard and are totally in control of the water you drink, there are some things you should know.

Be aware. find out more. know the facts. why purify?

Our definition of being “water smart” is being realistic about the importance of water to our family members – and knowing how to BE SURE we provide them with the purest drinking water every day…come what may.

This is disturbing. Did you know…?

Several major U.S. cities still rely on water pipes installed more than 100 years ago. The old pipes and other external factors can add contaminants, like chlorine, heavy metals, and pharmaceuticals, to our tap water after it has been tested safe at the water treatment facility in your city.

Water pumps in many cities are run by electricity? That means a simple loss of electricity for a couple of days could leave you “without water”.

A vast array of pharmaceuticals including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans. And while researchers do not yet understand the exact risks from decades of persistent exposure to random combinations of low levels of pharmaceuticals, recent studies which have gone virtually unnoticed by the general public have found alarming effects on human cells and wildlife.

Water is the first thing to empty off the shelves in an emergency. By the time you figure out you need it and get to the store – it will be gone.

The average person needs one gallon of water each day.
