Recommendations:
Water Storage: Rinse the brick out with warm water and let air dry completely. Fill with water, put on the cap tightly and let it sit on its side for a few hours to make sure there are no leaks and cap is on tight. Store away. Do NOT put any water storage container directly on cement. Cement leaches into containers so put a piece of plywood, carpet, 2×4 wood etc between the brick and the cement. Recommended stacking height is 5 bricks high. Rotate (change out) your water each year (12 months). Water will go stale over time and not taste good but still safe to drink. If you don’t want to rotate, run the water through a water filter (AquaBrick Filter System) when you go to use it. You can also store powdered drinks like Lemonade, Tang, KoolAid etc to add to your water when you go to use it.
Long Term Food Storage: Rinse the brick out with warm water and let air dry completely. Fill with grains, rice, beans etc. Follow food storage guidelines using oxygen packets. Tighten lid. Label the cap with what is stored in the brick, date sealed, how many lbs of food is in the brick and expiration date of food stored. Do NOT put any food storage container directly on cement. Cement leaches into containers so put a piece of plywood, carpet, 2×4 wood etc between the brick and the cement. Recommended stacking height is 5 bricks high.
Optional Water Purification System: Convert one of your containers into an AquaBrick Water Filtration System by adding the Component Kit. You’ll be able to have safe, clean, pure potable water for drinking, cooking and cleaning for you, your family, and pets whenever you need it!

Works well and is quite rugged. As noted in the instructions, they need to get rinsed out as there are plastic shavings inside. The size is almost perfect, it just fits under my bathtub faucet for filling. I suggest buying extra gaskets. I took a while to fully seat. Ultimately, the gasket should be inserted with the groove visible. Either way will seal, but they are more prone to pop out if the flat side is facing out.

No leakage. Sturdy. Works with the Aquabrick fitration system (sold separately). Good handle. Stacks nicely. When full of water, its not too heavy. One complaint – the containers’ threads for the cap had plastic flash from the manufacturing, I just cut it off.

My son told me about these storage containers. At his suggestion, I filled them up and put them in our freezer. If the power goes out, they will help keep the freezer items cold longer. And when they thaw, we’ll have the water in them available for drinking. It’s a great product. Very sturdy and no problems with leaking when turned on their sides.

great so far. I’m more concerned with how they’ll be holding up in 20 years but i guess we’ll have to wait and see. great to be able to stack them tightly, and in manageable sizes.

These water containers are THE BEST!!!! We now have 16 of them in case of an emergency. They are superior quality, no smell and hold lots of water. Extremely happy with them. This is the second time we’ve purchased them and couldn’t be happier.

Have not used these yet but were just delivered today to my home. All six were contained within a single shipping carton. No damage to the AquaBricks inside. I received six screw on tops PLUS a separate plastic bag containing a lid with spout. Oddly, two of the screw on tops were loose within the carton as were two of the gaskets. The remaining four were each screwed on to their respective AquaBrick containers. Am pleased with the packaging and especially with the provided extra lid with spout. Will update once I have filled them with water.

When power goes out so does our water pump. For this reason we have kept 7 gallon containers full of water which are hard to lift for my husband and I, both in our 70s. After studying different styles I went with these and am so happy! These each hold enough water for drinking and flushing toilets without being too heavy, are BPA free, darker color to keep water, perfectly balanced with double handles for pouring, nice wide openings for cleaning, and food storage and stack or stand. No leaks. I love that these fit in my cabinet and plan to rotate and use a couple every few months so that we always have fresh good tasting water. Pricey, but great quality. Definitely recommend these. I also purchased a 7th container with the filtration system as we are sometimes threatened with wild fires. This 7th container can be used in case we are in an area without potable water available.

My sister got a similar product but you can’t reach in all the way to clean. These ones, you can get a bottle brush and your whole arm in there to clean the inside. They feel very sturdy and the two handles make them easy to move around. We are heading on a weekend trip to a place with well water (I prefer our city water) and it’s nice to be able to take one of these with us instead of using single use plastic. We ordered a set and will be getting a second set so that we can each keep one of these in our cars, and fill one with rice and one with beans, and the rest with water for emergency/disaster preparedness.

I received the containers, cleaned them with water and vinegar and let them dry, which they mostly did. Then filled with water and have had them on their sides for about 2 weeks and no leaks. I noticed that I had to make sure the gasket was seated properly or there would be leaks when I was initially cleaning them. So far still no leaks.

The size is just right for us older people to carry around. Easy to set on a counter or table and use the spick-et that comes with the set. I will use for my emergency water supply. I have 16 containers on a rolling shelf with my emergency food and supplies so if I have to go, I will roll over to my truck or small house trailer and get out of town. Great idea with the stack able set up! But 1 lid was missing a gasket seal.

I bought the six pack, and it did not include the spigot. I actually don’t see how it could have been packed in the box as tightly packed as it was. Maybe it was supposed to be shipped separately but it never arrived. The AquaBricks themselves seem to be good.

Testing seals for leaks. So far so good. Will update if any failures are detected. So far I think a gentle tighten is sufficient to prevent leaking. Finger tight to barely snug, then tug just a little more. The containers are great. Compared to other military-looking, sturdy-looking hard plastic containers, the cost is not much different. These STACK nicely while others don’t. The molded double-handles make easy carry. Now I have them, I am satisfied with price/performance, except I’d like a spare lid in the box.

I am preparing myself for a disaster of some kind and was looking for a way to store water. I am 71 so I needed something I could handle easily. The design is perfect and they are easy to handle and use. So glad I found them.

Love the product and the sturdiness but the blue rubber seals do NOT stay in the lids. You don’t notice they’re not there and then they’re gone. I don’t see an option to order replacements. In AZ, that rubber seal will be the first thing to go, which will render these storage bottles ineffective. If they can solve this issue of the seals falling out, they will be spectactular.

Containers are great, very sturdy. I like that their opacity inhibits algae growth. I thought they might be hard to clean, but periodic sloshes with hot water and baking soda seem to be keeping containers clean and fresh smelling. I like the double handles for ease of carrying and pouring. Love the containers, if a better spigot option were available, this would be 5 stars.

I like that I can fill bricks with various foods and water and store them with a very little footprint in my garage. The size is also good that they can’t get too heavy.

We used the Sagan life aqua bricks for potable water on our sailboat during two offshore distance races this summer to fill water bottles. We really like the form, fit and function.

Great product. They interlock which make stacking great. The two handles make it convenient to use and store. I bought six, like it so much that that I bought another six. One note rinse well the first use, I found plastic shavings in several.

These AquaBricks are awesome. They are the perfect size, easy to handle, stackable and the cap is lower than the other brand making it so they almost completely empty out when using the spout. I washed them with a little bleach water & tested for leaks (none found) before stacking. I have no place to store a 55 gal drum so these are perfect. I can place them around the house without adding too much weight in one place. I absolutely recommend these!

Not much to say. They do their job as containers. They’re durable and they stack well. Spigot works well. One was leaky and they sent me a replacement with no fuss.

I purchased these as well as the water brick. This is a far superior product. Easier to fill, cap and carry. Easier to get all the food or water out. Better built, better designed

I received the aqua bricks. I purchased others before and am very satisfied with the product. My opinion, your product is superior to other water or food containers. The double handles, the tight sealing lid, it’s durable and easy to take anywhere.

I love these containers. They are really heavy duty. They are the perfect size. They hold enough water but are not nearly as heavy as 5 gallon containers when full. The do not leak IF the plastic lid has the darker blue rubber ring/seal. One of my lids did not and I contacted the company. They replied within 24 hours and sent a new lid a day or two after that. I am going to be ordering more when they are available again.

We go overlanding with our family all the time and we came across the AquaBrick and it works great. Many other products use thin plastic so when you strap them down you bend the product, but these strap down perfect and work really well.

Hi. Love the Aquabricks. It is sooo much easier to haul on river trips than lugging the heavy 5 gallon containers.

Unlike one review in particular that I read, my containers do NOT leak. I inspected all six, verifying each lid had a gasket and each mouth rim was smooth. Satisfied, I washed and rinsed all of them thoroughly, then filled each fully with water, with only a small air pocket at the top. I carefully placed each lid on, making certain they were started correctly and tightened easily. I placed them in a stacked-cube type interlocking arrangement, each laying horizontally, and performed a 48-hour leak check on a tile floor. ZERO LEAKS. Not even a drip ANYWHERE. If I need more, I’ll certainly buy more of this brand and the size is easily handled, which was the attractive part of them for me for moving and portability in a time of need. I have initially rated at Four Stars, due to the fact that I have just started using them. I fully expect they will be a 5-Star purchase as time proves their worth.
