Recommendations:

Portable Water Storage Container: Rinse the brick out with warm water and let air dry completely. Fill with water, put on the cap tightly and let it sit on its side for a few hours to make sure there are no leaks and cap is on tight. Store away. Do NOT put any water storage container directly on cement. Cement leaches into containers so put a piece of plywood, carpet, 2×4 wood etc between the brick and the cement. Recommended stacking height is 5 bricks high. Rotate (change out) your water each year (12 months). Water will go stale over time and not taste good but still safe to drink. If you don’t want to rotate, run the water through a water filter (AquaBrick Filter System) when you go to use it. You can also store powdered drinks like Lemonade, Tang, KoolAid etc. into the water storage containers, then add water to the mix when you go to use it.

Long Term Food Storage: Rinse the brick out with warm water and let air dry completely. Fill with grains, rice, beans etc. Follow food storage guidelines using oxygen packets. Tighten lid. Label the cap with what is stored in the brick, date sealed, how many lbs of food is in the brick and expiration date of food stored. Do NOT put any food storage container directly on cement. Cement leaches into containers so put a piece of plywood, carpet, 2×4 wood etc between the brick and the cement. Recommended stacking height is 5 bricks high.

Optional Water Purification System: Convert one of your containers into an AquaBrick Water Filtration System by adding the Component Kit. You’ll be able to have safe, clean, pure potable water for drinking, cooking and cleaning for you, your family, and pets whenever you need it!

    Good quality storage containers!

Two wishes… the lids were compatible with reliance water jug lids and the water filtration was affordable for regular folks but great quality equipment.

I bought a set of two of these as camping water storage and dispensing. They’re great in that they stack, and are a really nice size for moving around. Some containers are twice this size, which ends up annoyingly heavy. And these containers are great having handles on two sides, as well as being easier to clean than some other containers.

Clean Clear Water In An Emergency

    Joan Woodsmall

We have had several AquaBricks for a few years now. None have leaked and they are very sturdy. We use 1/8 teaspoon of regular chlorine bleach for each gallon of water and we replace the water once a year. We have never seen any slime or evidence of contamination in the water or on the AquaBricks. This makes us feel very secure that in an emergency we will have enough clean water.

Awesome condition, but I wish it had come with two spouts. Although that might be my mixup.

Much better design than the Water Brick. The built in handles make it easy to carry. I appreciate having the spigot included rather than having to buy it separately.

    Time will tell

    Floating_Tenon

If you just want a long-term, bomb-proof, water storage container then this is for you. But I’m using this as a water dispenser for my rv. I wanted something that could take a few knocks. I love the vented faucet – much better than other water containers where you have to loosen a cap or release a seal. If anything’s going to fail, it’ll be the cap seals which are loose fitting and seemingly flimsy. With regular unscrewing and screwing, I can see them wearing out or tearing. Lastly, the color choice of industrial blues is an eye sore. It’s unpleasant to look at if it’s going to be used every day. I covered my containers in a cheerful fabric.

These are so much better than the competing brand, that I also bought a few of, that it’s no contest for me to pick what I’d buy in the future. The built in handles make these a breeze to use. No leaks, easy to stack and to transport.

Thankful I heard about this survival must! Get a couple to have ready for emergencies. No wondering if the plastic will leach, it won’t.

We have two types of bricks. This product is our preferred, and is of superior quality. The handle location and cap location are both in a good positions to empty/fill, carry, and clean. The bricks interlock. Highly recommend! Love this product and will buy more. Hoping for a sale. :)

  15. riverlady

    solid construction, easy to lug

    riverlady

Recommended by whitewater river guide friends, who say they are much easier to tie down on boats than the bigger jugs (as shown in the manufacturer’s picture). A big improvement over Reliance 6-gal containers. I like the wide mouth and on my first use, they didn’t leak. Slight plastic taste, which I think will subside in a few uses. Love the 3-gal size, which is much easier to move around and they stack up well behind my driver’s seat.

We have been wanting to get some other containers for water storage. For emergency and for camping that were sturdier than what we have and would store within a smaller footprint and after researching several options, we decided to go with this brand. Others were cheaper but often lacked durability. We finally narrowed it down to WaterBrick and AuquaBrick. Both have great features but for us it really came down to the handles. The one brand has one wire handle that is much like a bucket and I thought that would be akward, but AquaBrick has two built in molded handles to make moving the heavy water around easier. We received our order super fast and we were pleased as how thick and sturdy the plastic is on these containers.

We have four of these containers for water storage in our motor home to cut down on the use of plastic water bottles. Great idea, good storage, great stacking idea, but the caps are really hard to tighten down far enough so that the jug doesn’t leak when it’s lying on its side. We have the same problem with the spigot cap. If it’s not really, really tight, it leaks. We have to use a strap wrench to get both the lid and the spigot cap really, really tight. These would be perfect if simply finger tight were enough to solve the problem. Also, the spigot is also really stiff to turn. I need two hands to operate it. Hopefully, it will loosen up over time.

When I got these, the spigot cap was missing. The company sent it right away. When I filled them, the caps seemed to leak at first when I left them on their sides and stacked them up next to my kitchen sink. However, I retightened them and tried again a couple of times and eventually got them on right. Left them for another day to monitor before putting them in the basement and no leaks. Good quality and stack nicely. Will be ordering more.

We love these containers! We have a small 1.5 car garage but still wanted an emergency water supply. These are easily stackable and don’t take up a ton of space. They will also be great for our camping trips for easy water transportation that won’t leak like our water coolers.

Yes, I love the AquaBricks for food storage, as well as using one daily for my drinking water. I know I can keep emergency foods like beans and rice dry, clean, and safe using the AquaBrick. They are easy to store. They stack so well and are easy to fill; also easy to access when you need the contents. I also keep one especially for dry dog food, as we need to remember our pets will need food too, should we face an emergency situation.
